Membery custom sweatshirt Brooklyn North

ISO: A Grandma Who Sews

By Cerelle Centeno

As I work hard to scale this little business, I am struck by how challenging it's been to bring my design ideas to fruition. On the one hand, it's a sincere pleasure to learn how to use a sewing machine. On the other hand...have you ever tried to teach yourself how to use a sewing machine? It's tough stuff!

Ideally, I could take my time with it instead of feeling constantly rushed to increase my inventory. As an example, I'd like to make at least five more of these "Brooklyn North" designs in the next month.

That's why I am posting this plea to you, my friends. Do you know someone who is super adept at using a sewing machine and wants to work for Membery? Ideally this would be a grandmother or someone who is retired. They like the idea of Membery, they love using a sewing machine, and they have the time to produce batches of work (think 5-10 pieces per collection or style) within, let's say, one week.

If you know anyone like this, or have some other ideas for how to help me scale inventory and ideas, I am all ears!
