Leopard Print Fork Tine Earrings by New Plate, Who Dish?

Regular price $50.00 USD

Of course, the brand name caught my eye the moment it came up in my FYP on TikTok - New Plate, Who Dish? I mean, come on. Brilliant! So I began to follow Lauren, the Wisconsin-based designer behind the concept of taking vintage dishes, plates, and flatware and reworking it all into beautiful jewelry.

When I first reached out to her to see if she was interested in selling to me, she balked. I mean, who was I? But I chipped away as my social audience grew. She finally accepted an invite to join the Membery collective's monthly video calls. Eureka! Just imagine if we met in person? Someday...

What I love so much about this capsule is this: Lauren was wondering what to do with her growing pile of fork tines. She had been creating rings and bracelet from the vintage flatware handles, but as a result she was stockpiling tines, spoon heads, and knives. So she began to hammer out the tines and voila, these beauties emerged. I mean, this is the definition of upcycled fashion. Brava, Lauren! I'm calling these beauties "leopard print" because the hammering detail makes it look like leopard spots.

These earrings are 2.5" long, give or take.
