More Data, More Questions

As you may recall (following my journey so closely as you have been), I decided that I would do at least 5 markets before the end of the year in order to better gauge the area's potential. I'm proud to say I checked that goal off the list and made some friends along the way. And while these markets helped me solidify my ideal customer, they also opened me up to a whole new set of questions. Things like: How do holiday markets compare to summer markets? Can a retail shop survive on selling impulse buy items? Should I focus Membery on core collections? Does selling vintage alongside upcycled items help or hurt the sales of the upcycled line of clothing? Will I ever be able to produce my designs at a reasonable scale? If so, does that go against the ethos of Membery? And on, and on.

Because I was so laser focused on completing 5 markets this summer season, I didn't actively apply to any holiday markets. Now I'm on the wait list for a few.
