This morning my niece was having a full-on meltdown about what she wanted to wear to school. Not only is it now perpetually hot - each day, every day - here in CT (and everywhere), but it's also water day at school so they are going to play in sprinklers. Anyway, girlfriend wanted to wear a dress with LONG SLEEVES. My poor sister was trying to use logic and reason with her, to no avail. In came by bro-in-law with a super novel idea - "Let's cut the sleeves off, that dress doesn't fit her anyway!" So he got to snipping. Well, this sent her even further down her spiral. Her beloved sleeves, now gone! More tears and wailing.
But lo and behold, about 15 minutes later she made it downstairs to the kitchen for breakfast and LOOK what she (her Dad?) came up with - THEY SLIPPED THE SLEEVES BACK ON HER.
I love this look! I even tried to get my friend, Kim, to rock a similar concept for a fundraiser but we couldn't find luxe enough sleeves. Hello, new product idea! Anyway, look how happy she is! Let's all celebrate our inner and outer child in the way we dress, how we present ourselves, and what we choose to wear (or not wear).
xoxo,
Cerelle
